Custom Jobs and Gate Latches

At Kellybuilt Engineering we are happy to do custom projects. We can use all materials from wood, mild steel through to aluminium.

Kellybuilt Gate Latch
The Kellybuilt gate latch is a very simple design, however it works remarkably well. We use them on all our own gates on our farm.
  • They are designed that even if cattle play with them they can only loosen the chain a link or two.
  • If you wrap the chain up and over it then the chain locks into place and can't be moved when pressure is against it (see the picture below).
  • In high pressure areas you can even use 2 of them to be safe.
  • A standard sized padlock can be placed on the chain and no-one can pull the lock through the hole.
  • Weld on to any gate
  • Designed to be used with a standard 10mm chain
